This latest contract has been for East Ayrshire council who required CPD to provide four new RCVs. All built to the same specification there was a strong requirement to meet certain environmental and social benchmarks which is why at CPD we integrated our very clever eco optimiser valve into the design.
The Eco Optimiser Valve works by way of allowing the working system to utilise the torque of a modern diesel engine, therefore operating at engine speeds no greater than 1000rpm, giving an immediate overall reduction in fuel consumption and specifically when in collection mode with a reduction of around 25% being achieved whilst also reducing the noise levels by 2dB.
Offering a high payload the RCVs have been designed with Semat C228 20m³ bodies fitted with the Terberg Omnidel bin lift and with a delivery date of July 2012 they are already out servicing the local community of East Ayrshire.
