CPD RCV Contract Update: AGMA
29th May 2012
Ecstatic to win the AGMA (Association of greater Manchester) tender towards the end of 2011, C.P. Davidson & Sons Ltd knew their production wing would have its work cut out …although whether they ever anticipated being quite this busy we’ll never know!
With a deadline of April 2012 and a complex process required to manufacture specialist vehicles a non stop production department has raised to the challenge. And with a daily stream of new RCV’s heading out of the gates at the companies head quarters in Chorley, Lancashire one would be forgiven to think this project was coming to an end…
Incredibly though more orders are still coming in, with the most recent placed by the local authority Bolton, who require a further six vehicles. This latest order brings the total number of RCV’s ordered to just under 60, and having won a three year contract no one is quite sure just how high that number will go.
CPD are supplying the members of AGMA with the Semat refuse body because of its renowned reputation for; reliability and quality, a long life span, a huge payload and the ability to collect from all waste streams: Meaning the local residents of the Greater Manchester area are sure to have their waste collection needs well and truly satisfied.
